Every year trade of more than 10 billion dollar take place in the perfume industries and the amount is increasing every year due to keep place with the consumer desire for new fragrances. In the year of 2008 a total of 26,789,905 tons of perfumery products have been imported by 146 countries. On the other hand, a total of 29,252,360 tons have been exported by 112 countries. The world trade of fragrance products mainly ruled by the European and the North American countries. Bangladesh plays a small role in world trade of perfume. A total of 1,371 tons of perfumery products have been exported by Bangladesh in 2008. In same year Bangladesh imported a total of 6,456 tons of perfumes.
